Kurt Miller joined Miller Diversified in 1988 and became President of the company in 1992. During his nearly three decades at the helm, the company has emerged as a leading full-service real estate company in Northwest Ohio. He has extensive experience in acquiring, developing and managing real estate investments, including but not limited to residential land development, mixed use commercial developments. He has also positioned the company as one of the foremost commercial contractors in the region, with experience building a wide variety of facilities. Clients have come to appreciate his pragmatic and disciplined approach to meeting their real estate and construction needs, coupled with a sterling reputation for integrity. He and his brother Jerry have also developed one of the strongest commercial brokerage teams in the area. Kurt holds his BSE in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and MBA from Bowling Green State University.

Jerry Miller has led the real estate brokerage arm of Miller Diversified since joining the company in 1988. He is a licensed real estate broker in Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee and holds GRI and CCIM designations. He is also a licensed auctioneer. As a trusted advisor to his clients, he has helped numerous residential, retail, commercial and industrial clients navigate through transformational changes. He also has extensive experience in greenfield and in-fill development, having successfully spearheaded the company’s development programs from conception through planning, entitlement, construction, and stabilization. Prior to joining the company, Jerry worked with Tomahawk Development, focused on leasing and sales in the rapidly growing suburban markets of Northwest Ohio. Jerry earned his BS from the University of Michigan.

Tim Konieczny has been a practicing attorney in Toledo since 1982. His primary focus has been in commercial real estate; finance; tax; construction; leasing; and business sales, mergers and acquisitions. Tim has handled many matters involving zoning, platting, acquisitions, disposition, leasing and financing of both residential and commercial real estate (including retail malls, industrial parks, and residential plats). Tim has also had extensive experience in estate planning and wealth transfer matters. In addition, Tim is an investor in a number of commercial real estate projects. Tim has a keen understanding of both overall real estate strategies as well as the details involved in real estate acquisitions, leasing, management, and financing. Tim graduated with a BA in Political Science from Brown University in 1979 and a JD from Case Western Reserve University in 1982. Tim is also actively involved with and serves on the boards of a number of charitable institutions

Before an advisory capacity, Steve spent over 25 years in corporate and private legal practice. He most recently served as the Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Con-way Inc., one of the country’s largest transportation and logistics companies. Prior to that that role, he served as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) in Toledo, OH. He began his career as an attorney with Sidley & Austin in Chicago, with a focus on banking and commercial transactions. He also has extensive experience with both commercial and residential real estate investments. Steve earned his BBA from Eastern Illinois University and his JD degree from IIT Kent College of Law in Chicago.

Gary L. Smith retired as VP Finance and Treasurer of The Andersons, Inc. (Nasdaq: ANDE) in 2010. ANDE was a private partnership between 1947- 1996. In 1995, Gary provided the leadership to transition the company from a private entity into a publicly traded corporation. Previously, he was VP of a steel processing company and started his business career at Arthur Young & Co. Gary has over 45 years of experience in the agribusiness, commodity, distribution and financial industries. Gary is currently on the Board of GAC Chemical Corp. and Newcomer Farms LLC. His past board activities included: Board of Lansing Trade Group LLC, AAA Club Partners, Inc., First Merit Bank, and Principle Business Enterprises. Gary earned a BBA in Accounting and Finance at The University of Toledo. He attended the Stanford Business School Executive Program and the Harvard Business School Finance Program.
